End User and Network Views. Homogeneous Data from Heterogeneous Environments

INFRA-XS service monitoring is performed by XS-Agents, the INFRA-XS “monitoring robots”. They require no operator, no keyboard or mouse and no monitor, can be remotely administrated and in cases of failure autonomously ensure that the monitoring is continued and no data is lost.

In order to do this, they permanently check the connection to their data server and, in case of a disrupted network connection, store the collected data locally – no matter whether the disruption lasts 3 hours or 3 days. As soon as the lost connection can be reestablished, all the data stored intermediately is being transferred to the server and from there to the database backend, triggering an update of the corresponding monitoring charts and reports.

The solution’s integrated web portal provides a number of predefined templates for all sorts of views.

Of course, the INFRA-XS data can be correlated with data generated by other monitoring tools, ITSM systems, or CMDBs. On the other hand, the data collected with INFRA-XS can just as well be integrated in other portal solutions or BI software.

Large Monitoring Fields. Central Control

The assessment of IT quality and stability is the more precise the larger the monitoring field is. Therefore, INFRA-XS not only offers a wide range of monitoring scenarios – from individual infrastructure components to complex, multi-branched business processes – but also the possibility to scatter them “all over the place”: at a central location and individual offices; locally, regionally, or worldwide; in the intra- and internet, and also in cloud environments.

Via INFRA-XS’s administrations console, the central management of the entire monitoring field is performed: rollout, control, and updates of XS-Agents – all is done from a central place, no matter where the XS-Agents are located, or if they are installed on real or virtual systems. It also doesn’t make any difference whether your monitoring field is homogeneous – i.e. if all the XS-Agents have the same setting – or it is a heterogeneous environment, in which the XS-Agents, for example, work with different Windows versions.

Easy Creation of Monitoring Workflows

The INFRA-XS workflow monitoring is script-based: the business processes to be monitored are represented by scripted workflows, designed for the automated execution on the XS-Agents. As to the creation of such monitoring workflows – you can easily do this yourself, there’s no specific knowledge required: simply start the integrated script recorder and run through the desired transaction flow. The result is an executable script, which only needs some replenishment like, for instance, definitions for the recording of runtimes (so-called logging points), or conditions and junctions within more complex workflows.

For these editing tasks – as well as for the adding or removal of transactions, for workflow adjustments after application changes, etc. – INFRA-XS provides a wide range of tools; and with its powerful scripting language even highly complex workflows can be simulated.
